We partner with UrgentVet, an affordable alternative to the ER vet. They specialize in after-hours and weekend care for minor injury or illness in cats and dogs. We work with them to make sure your pet receives needed care even if we’re closed. With their unique model, you can minimize wait time by saving your spot online on their website. They also accept walk-ins.
Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Wayne Crance
Dr. Wayne Crance opened Riverside Animal Hospital in 2001. Dr. Crance comes from Chicago but has lived in Coral Springs for the last 16 years. Dr. Crance graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 and has been a small animal practitioner ever since.
Dr. Crance is an avid reader of comic books and has been collecting them since the age of 7. He is also a huge fan of all Chicago teams including the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
Dr. Crance has several pets which include 2 dogs and 2 cats. Hershey is a Chocolate Lab and Toby, his Shih Tzu.
Dr. Crance loves to give that personal touch to all his special patients and clients. Dr. Crance likes to make himself available for all of your needs.
Dr. Brad Dawson
Dr. Brad Dawson grew up in beautiful Tennessee. He attended and then graduated from the University of Tennessee with his doctorate in veterinary medicine.
He now lives in the Coral Springs area and has been in Florida since 2001.
Dr. Dawson is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Besides watching the Steelers, Dr. Dawson enjoys watching all kinds of shows and movies. He is a huge Game of Thrones fan!
Dr. Dawson has been with us here at RAH since 2014. His southern charm is enjoyed here not only by our staff but by our clients and patients.
He enjoys working with our friendly staff and having modern equipment to work with to give our patients the very best care he can.
Dr. Ruby Robinson
Dr. Ruby Robinson is a Florida native and she has lived throughout the state of Florida. During her time in North Florida, she attended the University of Florida, where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
In her free time, she enjoys nature trails, going to the beach, and painting, along with playing with her two dogs, Cookie and Hammie.
Dr. Robinson is passionate about preventative medicine, dentistry, and surgery. She loves meeting clients and getting to know your beloved pets.
Dr. Spranklin
David Spranklin, DVM, DACVS-SA is a Partner Surgeon for Riverside Animal Hospital
Dr. Spranklin has been working with the Riverside Animal Hospital team since he was board-certified in 2007. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, completed his internship at Mississippi State University in 2003, and went on to complete a surgical residency at Washington State University in 2006.
Dr. Spranklin has a research interest in both orthopedics and surgical oncology. His surgical focus is orthopedics and soft-tissue, and he has performed over 5,000 surgeries since becoming board-certified. Dr. Spranklin’s availability has allowed us to provide numerous advanced surgical procedures for our clients including orthopedic and complicated soft tissue surgeries.
The Vets/Staff are the best!! They put the best interest of my pet before all else. I highly recommend Riverside Animal Hospital and I am an overprotective pet owner.
